There was a time when we both felt so low that we couldn’t really see beyond our own woes & issues.
We were struggling to feel positive or excited about all the good in our lives – though there was lots of it.
The problem: we were so focused on what was going wrong – what we didn’t have, that the right stuff just faded into the background.
“Everyone else seems so much happier/ skinnier/ more successful than I am,” we’d tell ourselves.
What a load of absolute BULL.
For everyone who appeared to be in a far better place than us, there were probably 10 poor souls we knew who were feeling far, far worse – we were just too stuck in our own misery to see it.
