Hey ADs,

Hope you’re enjoying summer. London’s been roasting lately, although for the first time in our lives we actually wish it wasn’t

As some of you might know, we’ve very recently started writing our first book, and are having to be extremely self-disciplined about staying at our desk – even when the sun’s tempting us to take a few hours off and get our tan on.

Delighted as we are for this opportunity though, we’re definitely being challenged.

As Creatives (and former actresses), we’ve always really struggled with Perfectionism.

We have incredibly high expectations of ourselves and our work, and more often than not, this leads us to feeling really stuck and blocked when it comes to putting pen to paper (or fingers to keys).

HOWEVER, we heard a life-changing piece of advice the other day that has quite literally revolutionised the creative process for us – and if you struggle with perfectionism too, you won’t want to miss today’s Nugget.

No matter how skilled or accomplished your artistic abilities, you’ll never get anywhere if you’re too afraid of failing to start.

Once you’ve watched the video, we’d love to hear from you in the comments below:

What project have you been procrastinating over because you’re waiting for the “perfect” conditions to get started (no such thing) or are afraid of failing (you’ll never know if you never begin…)

Excited to hear from you ☺
